assalaamualaikum;

up late. bored. decided to post about yesterday since i couldn't just now as i was too busy complaining about my mother.

so anyway, yesterday my aunt [i call her mami] had a maulid and invited my family, but my mum said she *cant go* cause she had to feed nazhir and stuff, and my dad said he *cant go too* cause he had to watch my mum. haha funny la them. so my sisters and i went alone with naqib. it was after maghrib and since mami's house was jsut across sungai api-api we could go there on our own. my sis and i took some pictures on the bridge and i was like, "okay, but don't blame me if anything else enters the photo." haha. luckily nothing did. =D

then when we got to mami's house it was still packed and the maulid was still going on, so my sisters and i waited outside with some of my cousins and nieces and nephews and many many MAAAAAAAAAAAANY little screaming kids. while waiting my eldest sister and i noticed this chinese-malay guy who looked .. almost exactly like arif tan. we were like, HAHAH! his facial expressions were just like arif, gaye die sume .. so anyway, then Kat [my cousin's cat. he found that stray cat somewhere. its full name is Kit-Kat.] came out of the house since he [she? IT?] was oh-so overwhelmed from seeing sooo many people, and he [she? IT??] crawled under this makcik's chair while she was eating, and the makcik terpekik like what. she could've given me a HEART ATTACK, i mean seriously! that was one loud shriek.

moving on, kecoh sey the budak-budak playing. what is the time mr wolf la, catching la, ERGH. even though i love kids OH-SO much, they are pretty annoying when they are having fun. my nephew ramzi was so cute imitating what the kids did.

so when the crowd thinned, my sisters, naqib and i entered the house to get some food. see, the main reason of us going to mami's house was for the food, actually. haha. we got some food and then sat on the mats and my cousin Liza turned on the television to American Idol marathon on Star World, which has been running since Friday. we watched American Idoll and chatted a bit, and after that we stayed around a little and talked about playing monopoly against my cousin's boyfriend, Farid. oh, and i also found out that arif-lookalike's name was Naim. hehe.

so then after all that my siblings and i left, before that mami packed some food for us to bring home, kala jijah put a bunch of grapes in a plastic bag and gave it to me. mami said, "nah ni anggur ni belum amek!" and kala jijah said, "da amek ni!" she showed the plastic bag to mami. mami said, "sikit nah! ni amek lagi." and she put in all that's left of the grapes, which was a lot. kala jijah took a banana and put it in the plastic too. "ni kasi nenek ni." she said. then mami said, "nah lagi pisang, due untuk mama, due untuk baba." haha! funny la my aunts. i also got some DELICIOUS choco-dates. they're dates [kurma] coated in chocolate, and it's to DIE for.

when we got home we were super exhausted. so our day turned out pretty good that day. before all that i actually went out with my family, where we went to Ang Mo Kio where a new Charco's Chicken dining place had opened, and since we had LOVED the Charco's Chicken at Perth, we wanted to try the Charco's Chicken here. so when we got there, i didn't really eat my chicken, i just ate my fries, even though the point of going there was for the chicken. The chicken tasted .. it's hard to find a adjective for it, so i'll use stringy. Something about it makes it non-appetizing. It wasn't crispy and stuff like that. okay you know what? never mind. after that we bought a stroller for nazhir and some other baby stuff.

anyway, my dad's currently in Indonesia on a business trip, and he'll be back tomorrow. he left this morning. have a safe trip, daddy!
